The Points Investor publishes education about loyalty programs and credit card rewards. Nothing on this site is financial, credit, tax or legal advice. Card approval, fees and rewards depend on the issuer and on your own situation. Pay your balance in full every month; interest wipes out the value of any points.

How we make money

We sell the book, and in the future some pages may carry affiliate links: if you open an account or buy through one, we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Pages with affiliate links say so at the top.

AI and how we use it

The Points Challenge ambassadors (Bandit, Dot, Grant and Pip) are AI characters, and their images and videos are made with AI tools. Every post that shows them says so. The prices behind their trips are not generated: fares, award prices and hotel rates are looked up on real booking sites and dated.

We also use AI tools to help research, draft and build this site. A person checks every number before it is published, and the method and the opinions are the author's.

Editorial policy

• We recommend only what we would recommend without a commission. A bonus never changes a recommendation.
• Every valuation, transfer ratio, bonus and card offer carries the date it was checked and its source.
• Examples are illustrative. Award prices and availability change; check before you transfer or book.
• We correct mistakes openly. Write to info@thepointsinvestor.com.
