The short version: we keep your email address only if you join the list, we set no cookies, and what you type into our tools stays on your device.
Who we are

The newsletter
If you join the list, we keep your email address to send you the newsletter, the weekly Points Challenge, launch news and occasional card and travel offers. You confirm by clicking a link in the first email; nothing is sent until you do. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
Your address is stored by our email provider, Kit (ConvertKit LLC, USA). We see whether emails are opened and links clicked, in aggregate and per subscriber, to know what readers find useful. We never sell your address or share it for anyone else's marketing. We keep it until you unsubscribe, then delete it within 30 days.
Visits to the site
This site sets no cookies. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records anonymous, aggregate page views without cookies, without fingerprinting and without identifying you. Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) also hosts the site and, like any web host, briefly processes the technical data of each request (such as your IP address) to deliver pages and stop attacks.
Our tools
Values you enter in our tools, such as your own point valuations or balances, are saved in your browser on your device so they are there next time. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them. We never ask for loyalty program or bank passwords.
Transfers outside Europe
Kit and Cloudflare are based in the United States. They protect European data with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where they participate, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to info@thepointsinvestor.com. We answer within 30 days. If you live in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. Residents of California have the same rights to know and delete; we do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law.
This site is not intended for children under 16.
